Silk Velvet. 20% Silk, 80% Viscose (made from wood pulp). Short pile. High luster. Great drape. Wonderful weight.

Sage Silk Velvet Kimono Jacket

Beautiful fabric with simple lines that feels lovely to wear. Looks equally chic dressed up with heels & evening trousers or dressed down with jeans & boots. The colour is more of a dusky, mossy shade than in the photo but that isn’t a concern as it’s still a gorgeous green. The order arrived promptly, welll packaged, and in good condition. Always great service from Squeak.

Very nice

Although it's not quite as deep of a green colour that I'd hoped (photo on the website is a shade darker than irl but every phone screen lighting is different), it's still very beautiful & I even wore it to a wedding (as a vendor). I bought the blue one a few months ago and adored it, so bought this one too. Might get another colour next time. I was able to buy it while on special at a great price. Not sure I could afford it at full price.

Washing Options

Dry Clean

With velvet it's really important to dry clean only. If you try to wash this yourself, the pile on the fabric will be creased and point in all directions, making the fabric look mottled. If washed roughly the pile can fall out as well.

Iron

If your silk velvet gets creased, just give it an iron on a medium heat. Just note, make sure you iron on the 'back' of the fabric, i.e. the smooth size, not the fuzzy side.
